It reminds me of a mix between Mission Impossible and Stagecoach, a blend of virtual action and the wild wild west: its the new Formula One theme song by Bryan Tyler, the Californian composer who wrote the music scores for Ironman, Thor and the Avengers to mention a few.
For this the Liberty boys gave him the job of entertaining the F.1 audience with a new sound, a theme to complement the engine noises still heard in the background. Something Hollywood style, aimed to increase interest in a sport which faces a critical turnaround. But the latest invention by the American bosses is only one of the few novelties to be launched in the 2018 season, unmistakably the least controversial. Earlier on, Liberty disposed of the grid girls and FIA introduced the Halo, two dramatic cuts in beauty which attracted no sympathy among racing fans.
For this we get the music now, almost as if the sport needed a romantic serenade to hide its problems and its frustrations.
