It is calm this week in Formula One. Bits and pieces happening here and there, but nothing so dramatic worth commenting on. The most interesting stuff comes from a possible revamping of the current qualifying system however, until is done, there is no point in giving you my thoughts as I would pass on my opinion on pure speculation. Being quiet in the news does not necessarily mean that assembly and design work in the F.1 factories have slowed down, if anything every Team is pushing frantically to make the Bahrain test with the best possible package. I guess at Renaults they must be the busiest, hoping for today’s shakedown of the Lotus to feed back some helpful data. Drivers are completing their winter preparation dividing their time between gym and simulators, some of them, like Alonso, pedaling hundreds of Kilometers around the desert roads of Dubai.
The calm before the desert’s storm
